#GameofThrones on #POPCORNX: The Final Episode & Beyond (#SPOILERS)

*SPOILERS AHEAD FOR SEASON 8 EPISODE 6*

And so the finale of GAME OF THRONES had aired on HBO, and concluded on May 19, 2019, with 73 episodes broadcast over eight seasons of stories, adapted/based on the fantasy novels of George R. R. Martin, with later episodes deviating from the books, of which I have never read a single page of, nor am I clever enough to analyse the nuances of characterisation nor evolution/growth of the beloved fictional written characters or otherwise. And while I'd only gotten unto the GoT-train from Season 7, I've since gotten along for the ride, and quite frankly have enjoyed the trip!

What the recent season has done, was turn a large number of viewers into (A) Seasoned Warfare Strategists, (B) Abled Screenwriters, and (C) Armchair Comedians. In another sub-category, there are a million folks who have signed a petition for HBO to reshoot their favourite show. In an age where a viewers' opinion matters, everybody's dissent has become a vaulted skillset, innit? But no, I will not deny anyone's opinions here, and everyone is entitled to what they feel about the show/series (misplaced coffee-cups and now bottled water, not withstanding) ... But hey, my only upset with unrequited wolf-loving has since been answered in the final episode, so I am good :p

And while it might behoove me to pile on the negatives - no doubt in an obvious attempt to boost my bloghits - I shall instead share some missives found on the www...

Above is a video of actor Jack Black performing the theme to GAME OF THRONES ... then scroll on down to hear the theme song played by a all-star guitarmageddon playthrough by Nuno Bettencourt, Tom Morello, Scott Ian and Brad Paisley, on Fender's Custom Shop Sigil Collection. (Headsup via musicradar.com). EPIC is EPIC.

Concept Artist and Comic Artist from Brazil, Gabriel Infante (Artstation / Instagram), shares with us what eight seasons of GoT might compare to a relationship.

I still cannot get over the above shot of Dragon behind Dany, arguably the sexiest shot in GoT in my books (heh) ... and below is a quick glimpse at Drogon for doing what he did to the Iron Throne, showing the fictional fire-breathing dragon to not be "just" a mindless creature, waiting to be told "Dracarys" ... the additional tender moment when he grips up the lifeless body of Dany and flies away, was a nice touch, IMHO. No more Iron Throne to play "musical chairs" with, innit? LOL

The finale of GoT was preceded by the airing of the trailer for WESTWORLD Season 3 as HBO pleas not to discontinue their services, which is addressed in the above hilarious re-subtitled meme ... but, everything has an end, even #GameofThrones. The Cast Signs Off ... Stay tuned to HBO the following week for Game of Thrones: The Last Watch - a two-hour documentary behind-the-scenes making of GoT, premiering May 26 on HBO.

And so what happened to GAME OF THRONES after the credits rolled?
