R.I.P. Carrie Fisher (1956 – 2016)
On December 23rd, 2016, actress Carrie Fisher was reported to have experienced a cardiac arrest, while on a flight from London to Los Angeles; and had had stopped breathing.
After being taken to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center by ambulance, she was placed on a ventilator. Fisher was reported to have been stabilized while in the hospital. On December 25th, Debbie Reynolds said her daughter was stable, and that any updates would be shared by the family.
Fans worldwide no doubt sighed in collective relief … but alas, it was to be a short moment of reprieve.
Known worldwide and thru different generations of Star Wars fans to have played Princess Leia Organa, Carrie Fisher died at age 60 on December 27th, 2016, at 8:55am Pacific Standard Time, in Los Angeles, California. (Info via Wiki)
