Trailer for BRIGHTBURN

A barren couple finds a baby in a crashed alien craft in their farm's backyard one night, and he grows up to have super-powers ... and no, he is not "Kryptonian" ... and he turns out quite different than the duper-powered man we have come to know and love ... Introducing BRIGHTBURN!

"What if a child from another world crash-landed on Earth, but instead of becoming a hero to mankind, he proved to be something far more sinister? With Brightburn, the visionary filmmaker of Guardians of the Galaxy and Slither presents a startling, subversive take on a radical new genre: superhero horror."

"Imagine what he could become."

Notice the detail of the deep red cloth used to wrap the baby, had been used as a shroud for when the alien grows up to be a teenager? #NIIIIICE

Directed by David Yarovesky ("Guardians of the Galaxy: Inferno"), and produced by James Gunn and Kenneth Huang, written by Mark Gunn & Brian Gunn, the feature film stars Elizabeth Banks, and premiers in U.S. theaters Memorial Day, May 24th, 2019. I've never truly been a "horror"-fan... but this? The subversion of the superhero-genre? BRING IT.

ASIDE: Along with the upcoming "The New Mutants", will "Superhero Horror" be a new trend in celluloid story-telling?
