TOLKIEN - Official Trailer & Stills
PRESS: "TOLKIEN explores the formative years of the orphaned author as he finds friendship, love and artistic inspiration among a group of fellow outcasts at school. This takes him into the outbreak of World War I, which threatens to tear the “fellowship” apart. All of these experiences would inspire Tolkien to write his famous Middle-Earth novels."
Perhaps you might be familiar with "Lord of the Rings", or "The Hobbit" trilogy movies? But of course the books they had been adapted from... even fantasy is rooted or derived from "reality"... will folks be interested to peer "behind the curtain", so to speak? Or would be be the allure of only "name recognition"?
Directed by Dome Karukoski, written by David Gleeson and Stephen Beresford, the film stars Nicholas Hoult, Lily Collins, Colm Meaney, Anthony Boyle, Patrick Gibson, Tom Glynn-Carney, Craig Roberts, Laura Donnelly, Genevieve O’Reilly, Pam Ferris and Derek Jacobi.
"TOLKIEN" in U.S. theaters May 10, 2019.
