Bad Education (Premieres April 25 on HBO)

Directed by Cory Finley and based on a true story, a student reporter starts to trace embezzlement at the Roslyn School District, in Long Island after the assistant superintendent makes a crucial mistake that hints at corruption that spans over a decade.

Dr. Frank Tassone, played by Hugh Jackman serves as the superintendent of the district that he led to be the fourth best in the country. He’s forced to deal with the fallout of this scandal and attempts to protect others— and himself.

A film that I would normally not feature on this particular hobby-blog of mine (but for a weird themed-parallel to a K-Drama I recently finished), seems "interesting" at a time of shutdowns & lockdowns due to the COVID-19 - besides the hoard of children screaming opposite where I live, in a school not on shutdown, as mum had complained this morning (If we had grandchildren for her tho... :p) - would be folks' response to whatever shenanigans (IF ANY, that is) has been happening, and how folks' have the time now to do some online sleuthing while social distancing... but yes, I am overthinking here...

Starring Academy Award nominee Hugh Jackman, Academy Award winner Allison Janney and Emmy winner Ray Romano, "Bad Education" debuts Saturday, April 25 on HBO.
