SEOBOK

"Ki-Hun (Gong Yoo) is an ex-agent of the intelligence agency. Seo Bok (Park Bo-Gum) is the first human clone ever and he possesses the secret for eternal life. Ki-Hun gets involved in dangerous situations due to several forces who want to take possession of Seo Bok." (asianwiki.com)

"Seobok" is written and directed by Lee Yong-Joo. Filming ended in October 2019, while Park Bo-Gum is now serving in the Nation's Military. Instead of what would be a cliched "Female" Clone and her male protector that falls in love with her (OR the roles could be reversed), the filmmaker has since gone for a (possible) bromance, and I am intrigued to see the emotional heft that movie might have. Goon Yong has shown his capabilities time and again, and I certainly hope this sci-fi tale could offer much more than just the "gimmick".

"Movie reinterprets the story of Xu Fu (pronounced 'Seo Bok' in Korean) from a modern viewpoint. Xu Fu was from the Qin Dynasty and sent by Qin Shi Huang to find the elixir of life twice."
