STAR WARS Coming to DisneyPlus 2021
A glorious Friday morning here in Singapore (Thursday evening in U.S.A.), with Disney unveiling a SLEW of STAR WARS-related media news, coming to DisneyPlus - as part of their "Disney Investor Day" event - with THIS blog-feature abut all-things-STAR WARS, thank you very much! Announced is "Rangers of the New Republic", a new Original Series set within the timeline of "The Mandalorian", with a logo revealed, coming to DisneyPlus. Would this have anything to do with Cara Dune and the shield she received from "Captain Carson Teva" in Chapter 12/Episode 4 ("The Siege") in Season 2?
A new Original Series simply titled "Ahsoka" sees Rosario Dawson continuing her role (revealed in Chapter 13/Episode 5 of The Mandalorian Season 2), and will be set within the timeline of "The Mandalorian"! Maybe "Grand Admiral Thrawn" will not appear in Mando, but a spin-off into her own series...?
"Everything I did, I did for the Rebellion." says "Cassian Andor" (played by Diego Luna), who spins off from the "Rogue One" feature film into a brand new Original Series set in the Star Wars universe, with "ANDOR" streaming in 2022 on DisneyPlus. According to the Wiki-page: "...his character will appear younger in the series, which is set five years before Rogue One. Alan Tudyk and Genevieve O’Reilly will reprise their roles as K-2SO and Mon Mothma, respectively, and the series is also set to feature Stellan SkarsgÃ¥rd, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, and Adria Arjona."

He would be "Anakin Skywalker" Hayden Christensen returns as "Darth Vader", joining Ewan McGregor in "OBI-WAN KENOBI". The Original Series begins 10 years after the dramatic events of Revenge of the Sith, which means the limb-less Anarkin (Thanks to Obi-Wan) has since been remade as VADAR.

Now THIS interests me greatly: "Star Wars: Visions" is an Original Series of animated short films, celebrating the Star Wars galaxy through the lens of the world’s best Japanese anime creators. Coming in 2021 to DisneyPlus.
The galaxy’s favorite scoundrel, Lando Calrissian, will return in Lando, a brand-new event series for @DisneyPlus. Justin Simien (@JSim07) is in the early stages of developing the project.

Lucasfilm Animation is teaming up with Lucasfilm’s visual effects team, Industrial Light & Magic, to develop a special @StarWars adventure film for @DisneyPlus, A Droid Story. This epic journey will introduce us to a new hero guided by R2-D2 and C-3PO.

There are a few non-Star Wars-Related news on their Twitter-feed as well, but for now, I'll end off this blog-feature with the "trailer" for THE MANDALORIAN Season 2 that they could not show, least SPOILERS spoil everything LOL ... call it a "catch-up", call it a "sizzle reel" (they did), I call it "SEE WHAT YOU MISSED BEFORE THE FINAL TWO EPISODES" happen!
And while I recognise nothing could ever replace "May The Force Be With You", I certainly think "This Is The Way" has it's charms! LOL
