Melancholia (멜랑꼴리아) KDRAMA

Melancholia (Korean: 멜랑꼴리아; RR: Mellangkkollia) is an upcoming South Korean television series directed by Kim Sang-hyeob and starring Im Soo-jung, Lee Do-hyun, Jin Kyung and Jang Hyun-sung.

The series tells the story of scandals and corruption in private high schools in Gangnam (Wiki)... but it more than a "May/December Romance", with mydramalist.com further describing the synopsis as; "A sexual scandal between a math teacher and a student in a prestigious high school ended in tragedy. 4 years later they meet again, now as adults, to reveal the corruption in school and to regain one's reputation as a teacher."



Im Soo-jung as math teacher "Ji Yoon-soo" (Adored her in "Search: WWW", which non-too ironically is being shown on m7y local tv again recently) ... with Lee Do-hyun as math genius "Baek Seung-yoo" (seen most recently in "Sweet Home" and "18 Again"). Dude is on fire right now LOL



Consisting of 16 episodes (Run time 70 minutes each ep), South Korean Drama "Melancholia" is scheduled to premiere as tvN's 15th anniversary special project on tvN on November 3, 2021 and will air on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 22.30 (KST). It will also be available for streaming on iQiyi, Bilibili and Via (in Singapore).
