With the release of a Valentines' Day illustration, comes the official reveal of the names of the primaries for Marvel's First Family live-action feature film!

Besides the rumoured "1960s"-period of the film (no doubt starts that way and fast-forwards somewhen to current times, ala "Captain America", methinks), will the upcoming FANTASTIC FOUR MOVIE - since "returned" to Marvel - would be different from the ones released before? Let's take a quick throwback, shall we?



The latest incarnation of the first family came in the singular form of Mr Fantastic, seen in 2022's "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness", starring the fan-favourite John Krasinski as "Reed Richards", apart of The Illuminati!



Fantastic Four / Fant4stic (2015) directed by Josh Trank was an attempt at a "reboot", with a "planned" sequel cancelled. The story was apparently loosely based on the "Ultimate Fantastic Four" comic-books, features four people teleporting to an alternate universe, which alters their physical form and grants them new abilities. And a Doctor Doom far removed from what comicbook-readers were familiar with.





Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007) was directed by Tim Story, and was a direct sequel to 2005's. The plot follows the Fantastic Four (and Doctor Doom) as they confront, and later ally with, the Silver Surfer to save Earth from Galactus.







Fantastic Four (2005) was directed by Tim Story and stars Ioan Gruffudd (Mr Fantastic), Jessica Alba (The Invisible Woman), Chris Evans (The Human Torch), and Michael Chiklis (The Thing) as the title characters for both the 2005 and 2007 films.

The first ever Fantastic Four film is a unreleased feature circa 1994. The film features the team's origin and first battle with Doctor Doom, and looks to be the most cpomicbook-accurate aesthetics, at least in their uniforms, innit? Executive-produced by low-budget specialists Roger Corman and Bernd Eichinger, it was made to allow Eichinger to keep the Fantastic Four film rights.
