Bon Appétit, Your Majesty

I understand the hype surrounding "Bon Appétit, Your Majesty" KDRAMA, with its "time-slip" premise (reminding me muchly of "Mr Queen"), and the cooking element ("Culinary Class Wars" broke the dam, and again "Mr Queen"), plus the romance (reminding me off "King The Land" somewhat too LOL), wrapped up in comedy and the constant reliving of lost childhood, makes for a entertaining watch thus far.

Not forgetting the receipe book McGuffin.

Sure there's court intrigue, there's betrayals, there's a hateful consort, enough for a period piece but not so deep into a historical period piece to dull at least my personal preferences, so here I am, two episodes short of the finale this weekend, and I am kinda not looking forward to it ending, but at the same time am grateful this is ending.

"After time traveling to the Joseon era, a talented chef meets a tyrant king. Her modern dishes captivate his palate, but royal challenges await her."

"Bon Appétit, Your Majesty" (폭군의 셰프 / literal title: "The Tyrant's Chef") is a 12 episoder KDRAMA on tvN and Netflix, and is based on web novel "Yeonsankunui Chefro Salanamki” by Park Kuk-Jae (published October 5, 2022 - August 31, 2023 via Naver).

Will Ji-Young return to the present/future and meet the reincarnation of King Yi Heon? I suppose I could read the novel to find out? But...
