Production Update Snaps for "MIYA" - A Hayao Miyazaki-homage figure by Martin Hsu

And while Japanese animation feature "The Wind Rises" lost out to "Frozen" for "Best Animated Feature" in the 2014 - 86th Academy Awards, here's a quick look at production update snaps (direct from the factory) for the Hayao Miyazaki-homage figure "MIYA"-san, designed by Martin Hsu (who is a huge fan of the director, AN is the Chairman of a "Hayao Miyazaki" fan-club!) and produced by Bigshot Toyworks!

FYI: In limited edition of 300 pieces, pre-orders for this 6-inches tall resin collectible were available via Tenacious Toys, but had ended on Jan 31st. Ship-out tentatively scheduled for April 2014. And while we've seen numerous movie-characters made into toys and collectibles, very rarely do we see one dedicated to depicting film directors :)
