CHAPPIE - 1st Trailer & Poster

STORY: "Every child comes into the world full of promise, and none more so than Chappie: he is gifted, special, a prodigy. Like any child, Chappie will come under the influence of his surroundings - some good, some bad - and he will rely on his heart and soul to find his way in the world and become his own man. But there's one thing that makes Chappie different from anyone else: he is a robot. The first robot with the ability to think and feel for himself. His life, his story, will change the way the world looks at robots and humans forever." (IMDb)

Having been a fan of director Neill Blomkamp since his pre-feature film days, with his shorts a splendid meld of man and machine, and with this robot design reminiscent of his "Tetra Vaal" plus the humor of "Tempbot", I am looking forward to be watching this.

Starring Hugh Jackman and Sigourney Weaver adding a heap dose of "Hollywood" to the proceedings (which does not wholly sit well with me, since his "Elysium" outing), Dev Patel (from "Slumdog millionaire"), and a dash of "street cred" with rappers Ninja and Yo-Landi Vi$$e from South African rap-rave group Die Antwood, rounded up by Sharlto Copley, who voiced "Chappie" (and quite recognizable a voice of his too, IMHO)

CHAPPIE premeries 6th March 2015 in the USA.
