PREMISE: "Cyborg Major Motoko Kusanagi (Johansson) and her intelligence agency, Section 9, thwart cyber criminals and hackers. Now, they must face a new enemy who will stop at nothing to sabotage Hanka Robotic's Artificial Intelligence technology." (Wiki)

If you are unfamiliar with the news by now, Hollywood is adapting Japanese anime "Ghost In The Shell" as a "live" action feature film, and for the lead role of "Major Motoko Kusanagi", she will be played by Scarlett Johansson. Yes, you read that right. Folks on my Instagram has some choice opinions about the casting choice;
"White wash is on a all time high." (@cashamillanimeboy)

"She must've been adopted." (@xrsidex)
Well, at least they stuck to the "purple", even if it's only the highlight of her hair … *rolls-eyes*

To be directed by Rupert Sanders (infamous by now for porking Kirsten Stewart while filming "Snow White and the Huntsman"), DreamWorks Pictures helms this feature, with Paramount Pictures releasing the film on March 31, 2017 (USA).
