Meet "Queen Maeve" (#TheBoys)

COMICBOOK-SOURCE: Queen Maeve, Empress of the Otherworld is a "long-time member of the Seven, Her powers include super strength, flight, and durability. It is suggested that Queen Maeve was more passionate about the Seven's mission than the other superheroes at one point, but found her spirit broken by the team's disastrous handling of the 9/11 attacks. It is also suggested that the 9/11 debacle is the source of her alcoholism. A twisted analogue of the DC superheroine Wonder Woman." (Read more here and/or here).

Also in the comicbooks, Queen Maeve comes to Starlight's aid (As mentioned here) "when the male members of the Seven attempt to sexually assault her, intimidating the attackers into standing down." Would we be seeing this played out in the TV adaptation?



THE BOYS TV: In the TV adaptation, Irish actress Dominique McElligott is cast to play Queen Maeve.
