The Irregulars on Netflix

"Welcome to 19th-century London, where The Irregulars - a group of misfits, work to solve supernatural crimes at the behest of Dr. Watson and his elusive partner, Sherlock Holmes."

Meet The Irregulars at 221B Baker Street on March 26, on Netflix.

With the teaser drop, and stills to be found on the show's IMDb-page, I had actually thought this to be a "purely all-original" concept, until finding this Wiki-listing...
"The Baker Street Irregulars are fictional characters who appear in three Sherlock Holmes stories, specifically two novels and one short story, by Arthur Conan Doyle. They are street boys who are employed by Holmes as intelligence agents. The name has subsequently been adopted by other organizations, most notably a prestigious and exclusive literary society founded in the United States by Christopher Morley in 1934."

In this latest media incarnation of "The Irregulars", "Sherlock Holmes is portrayed as a drug addict who takes the credit for cases solved by a group of children," who are under the employ of Dr Watson, saving London from supernatural elements. Well, they don't really look much like "children" here, innit?
