LEON // SUPREME BO from Fools Paradise (For June 1st pre-order)
Seeing and recognising this upcoming new figure from Hong Kong-based toy-brand Fools Paradise, truly left a silent smile on my face today, with one of the exceedingly few times we get to see Asian Pop Culture represented-&-referrenced in their mashed-up releases...
And while the Super Mario and LEON mashed-up likeness has been seen in plenty of their releases, it is the interpretation of Stephen Chow's "Joker" (a reincarnation of "Sun Wu Kong" AKA "The Monkey King") - from the seminal classic "A Chinese Odyssey" - specifically "Part 1: Pandora’s Box" - that fills it with nostalgic charms!

"A Chinese Odyssey is a two-part 1995 Hong Kong fantasy-comedy film directed by Jeffrey Lau and starring Stephen Chow. The first part is titled A Chinese Odyssey Part One: Pandora's Box while the second one is called A Chinese Odyssey Part Two: Cinderella. The film is very loosely based on the 16th century Wu Cheng'en novel Journey to the West."
