WILLOW Coming To Disney+ (Official Trailer & Poster)

This November, the magic returns with a new Original series streaming only on DisneyPlus. Revealed during the annual D23 EXPO was the poster (above) and first official trailer (watch below).



Before Peter Jackson's LORD OF THE RINGS, or even GAME OF THRONES, I'd grown up with Hollywood features such as LADYHAWKE (1985), KRULL (1983) and WILLOW (1988), with my enjoyment of "fantasy" bite-sized and digestible, as compared to the literary writings I'd not had the patience nor pleasure to have consumed.

As far removed as these notions of Western fantasy were to me, and as identifiable was the lore of the mythic folklore of the East - with Sun WuKong and Old Master Q's manhua interpretation of "Water Margin" - I have grown to be intrigued at how this latest incarnation of "Willow" would fare alongside the current media worlds of The Rings of Power and House Of The Dragon.
