Official Announcement for New "Harry Potter" Max Original Series
"Max has ordered the first ever #HarryPotter scripted television series, a faithful adaptation of the iconic books" .... Which in plain-speak means Warner Bros are rebooting J.K.Rowling's "HARRY POTTER", where it'll be headed to MAX (formerly known as "HBO Max). And in lieu of an owl bearing a letter, we have an official announcement video:
WHAT-IS: "Harry Potter is a series of seven fantasy novels written by British author J. K. Rowling. The novels chronicle the lives of a young wizard, Harry Potter, and his friends Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, all of whom are students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The main story arc concerns Harry's conflict with Lord Voldemort, a dark wizard who intends to become immortal, overthrow the wizard governing body known as the Ministry of Magic and subjugate all wizards and Muggles (non-magical people).". (Wiki)
All seven novels has been ada[ted into full length feature films, starting with 2001's "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone", and ended with a two-parter "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" (Part 2 in 2011). Ten year's worth of film in between, and twelve years today since the last, so yeah, perhaps it is time for a reboot, to engulf the current generation of (new) fans, as even the actors Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson has since "aged out", haven't they? So much for "eternal cinematic life" ... not going to fight it, and will just look toward to what they'll offer us ... we still have our films, don't we? :)
