Blade Runner 2099

"Blade Runner 2099" premieres November 25 on Prime Video.



The story take place fifty years after the events of "Blade Runner 2049", with this 6-episoder streaming series starring Michelle Yeoh as "Olwen" (a Replicant Blade Runner who is in the final days of her life), and Hunter Schafer as "Cora" (Olwen's partner and a human pretending to be a replicant).

Both this and 2049 are based on Philip K. Dick's 1968 novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?".



What has caught my attention for 2099, as well as 2049, was the shopwcase of more "daytime" environments, wherew my mwmories of the fiorst Blade Runner were mostly of night time, and p[erhaps in a way that visual conceot had intrigued me from the beginning, of "what happens in the dead of the neon-soaked night-time", than what lruks around the skyscrappers during the day-grind, which to me perhaps is the iconism of "cyhber-punk" is the depiction of night-time, IMHO.
