BATWOMAN on The CW: Trailer, Poster & Stills

Ruby Rose is "Kate Kane" / "Batwoman": "A highly trained street fighter and out lesbian with a passion for social justice who protects Gotham as a vigilante." (Wiki). Her comicbook source/counterpart is similarly open gay, and had her own fair share of "controversy" back in 2006 when she debuted, as had Ruby was cast and appeared in the "Elseworlds" Arrowverse series (Arrow x The Flash x Supergirl) crossover on The CW, when folks claimed she was not "queer enough" (paraphrasing / Read deets here), so much so she retreated from her Twitter ... WTF?

The Bat is out of the bag and I am beyond thrilled and honored. I’m also an emotional wreck.. because this is a childhood dream. This is something I would have died to have seen on TV when I was a young member of the LGBT community who never felt represented on tv and felt alone and different. Thank you everyone. You might recogniser her from her latest turn as mute-assassin "Ares" in "John Wick: Chapter 2" (2017), and of course her role as "Stella" in (Season 3) of "Orange Is The New Black" on Netflix.

And now, the caped crusader in heels (sorry, that was extremely sexist of me) has her very own weekly television show! Coming this fall to The CW.
