Inside Season 8 Episode 5 for #GameofThrones (#Spoilers)
The penultimate Episode 6 of the final 8th season of GAME OF THRONES was a brutal, brutal episode, not just with the death of characters, but with the relentless blood and gore of war, that went along with the fire and destruction of King's Landing, in what would liken to be a depiction of a "War Movie" in any given genre or era, IMHO.
If viewers had been complaining about the darkness and battle with the Night King, this episode would either really shocked (*raises hands*), or pissed you off (most folks on my Facebook-feeds), when deaths did not go the way viewers want them to go (Cersei died via crushed rubble, not under anyone's blade).
Be that as it may, there's only one episode left, innit?
(Episode 72 / Season 8 Episode 5) "The Bells" was directed by Miguel Sapochnik, and written by David Benioff & D. B. Weiss. Run time was 78 minutes (Info). I'm pretty keen to find out:
(1) Where and to whom the letters from Varys wrote were sent to. R.I.P. Varys.
(2) How Jon Snow will deal with the enraged and by-now-"mad" Daenerys Targaryen.
(3) How The Starks will deal with the enraged and by-now-"mad" Daenerys Targaryen.
(4) My vote is for Tyrion Lannister to sit on the Iron Throne, after he assassinates Dany. OR maybe Dany dies from food poisoning, courtesy of Varys and the wee girl in the beginning of the episode ...
But Why Tyrion? Because seems the is the only one who cares for the citizens in King's Landing, and has been trying his best to fight for their survival. As for whether he has the "fortitude" to be "King"? well ... he'd need a stronger "Hand" and support group, and frankly there is no one left who'd be able to take the slack, innit? Maybe i'll attempt a separate blogpost before the finale ... or maybe this'll be enough ... I'm just not clever enough for these things ... BUT SO MUCH FUN LAH! LOL
Here's a look at he Preview for the finale of GAME OF THRONES, on air May 19th, 2019, to be directed and written by David Benioff & D. B. Weiss.
