MONSTER HUNTER: Character Teaser Posters, Official Synopsis & BTS (Catch-up)

Two new character teaser posters for MONSTER HUNTER has been released, along with the official website at monsterhunter.movie, featuring actress Milla Jovovich (above), and Tony Jaa (below), for the upcoming live action feature film based on the global video game series phenomenon MONSTER HUNTER, as written for the screen and directed by Paul W.S. Anderson.

A noticeable amount of behind-the-scenes snaps have been released (mostly on Insta @millajovovich), along with tons of commentary and disdain for the adaptation, which I for one am patiently waiting for moving visuals to chime in (I don't play the game, so maybe the point is moot? LOL).

OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS: "Behind our world, there is another: a world of dangerous and powerful monsters that rule their domain with deadly ferocity. When Lt. Artemis (Milla Jovovich) and her elite unit are transported through a portal from our world to a new world, they are in for the shock of their lives. In her desperate attempt to get home, the brave lieutenant encounters a mysterious hunter (Tony Jaa), whose unique skills have allowed him to survive in this hostile land. Faced with relentless and terrifying attacks from the monsters, the warriors team up to fight back and find a way home."

Captain Natalie Artemis. Ranger. Monster Hunter. Just a little peek for all the @monsterhunterworld fans out there who were worried the other day.😉 Here is Captain Artemis wearing a “slinger” on her arm. I will also post a pic at some point of some of the incredible MH weapons we’ve recreated for the film.👊🏼 #monsterhuntermovie #monsterhunterworld #tankwadiary

Alpha Team between takes. So much fun hanging with these two, the gorgeous and super talented @meagangood and the one and only @troubleman31. The days are long and exhausting out here in the desert, but it’s so worth it and we really feel like a close knit team now. 📷@giftedtalents p.s. for fans of the game, all the armor and bone blades are gonna be in the movie too, it will all make sense when you see it!😉 #monsterhuntermovie #monsterhunterworld #cederbergdiary

#setlife First week on #monsterhuntermovie is coming to a close and it’s been INSANE! We’ve been shooting in a location called Atlantis Dunes outside Cape Town which is just breathtaking. White sand as far as the eye can see (also in everyone’s eyes so no one can see and in our teeth too!🤗) Here’s some pics from week 1! @tonyjaaofficial and I chilling between set ups and some great shots of the production team out on location. Enjoy! Xo m😘 #monsterhuntermovie #monsterhunterworld #capetowndiary
