In The Heights: "Welcome to Washington Height" & First 8 Minutes

Seen in the featurette above are t creator of "Hamilton" and the director of "Crazy Rich Asians", plus the show's actors talking about a crucial part of the story of "In the Heights": the neighborhood of Washington Heights, where folks "come for the music, the summertime vibes, and the street art; stay for the heartwarming community that inspired #InTheHeights."

Then check out the "First 8 minutes" of the feature, scheduled to be in U.S. theaters and on HBO Max June 10 (only on the ad-free plan, streaming in the US for 31 days from its theatrical release).

I personally not not a huge fan of "musicals", but truthfully in these Covid-days, I can certainly take a dose of positivity and "fun" now and again... :)

PRESS: Lights up on Washington Heights...The scent of a cafecito caliente hangs in the air just outside of the 181st Street subway stop, where a kaleidoscope of dreams rallies this vibrant and tight-knit community. At the intersection of it all is the likable, magnetic bodega owner Usnavi (Anthony Ramos), who saves every penny from his daily grind as he hopes, imagines, and sings about a better life. #InTheHeights

“In the Heights” fuses Lin-Manuel Miranda’s kinetic music and lyrics with director Jon M. Chu’s lively and authentic eye for storytelling to capture a world very much of its place, but universal in its experience.
