I will not lie. I nearly man-weeped at Transformers 1, especially when Blackout first turned from helicopter to Decepticon and laid an air force base to waste, the cartoon-sound effect of his transformation as evocative as the EM-pulse embraced the base and crushed the control station's windows … then T2 happened, and I was underwhelmed unto disgust, I will not lie. Then I have been seeing trailer and tv spots for TRANSFORMERS: Dark Of The Moon (aka T3 / www.transformersmovie.com), and my faith for director Michael Bay, had returned, with both excitement and desire for giant effin' robots!
The above is a "Nascar Daytona 500 TV Spot" spotted on Topless Robot, while the other Super Bowl TV Spot and earlier teaser, is simply just breathless … One day I might post about the toys too (but they tend to disappoint, so I'll stick to the videos for now :)
Transformers: Dark of the Moon (First July premiere): The Autobots learn of a Cybertronian spacecraft hidden on the Moon, and race against the Decepticons to reach it and learn its secrets, which could turn the tide in the Transformers' final battle. (IMDb]
"The Autobots Bumblebee, Ratchet, Ironhide and Sideswipe led by Optimus Prime, are back in action, taking on the evil Decepticons, who are determined to avenge their defeat in 2009s Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There's new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime "Transformers" character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth. Transformers: Dark of the Moon is expected to hit theaters July 1st, 2011 in Real D 3D and IMAX 3D."
