POWER/RANGERS - A Bootleg Film from Adi Shankar

UPDATED:

Adi Shankar (Executive Producer for "Dredd", "Lone Survivor", "Walk Among The Tombstones") presents a Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers Bootleg Film directed by Joseph Kahn (2004's "Torque"), and starring James Van Der Beek and Katee Sackhoff, taking Power Ranges to an "adult" stage … *NICENESS*
"When I was a child I had two favorite TV shows the X-Men animated series and Power Rangers. I eventually came to the realization that high school kids weaponized to fight an intergalactic threat would turn those kids into some seriously disturbed adults." -mentioned Adi Shankar (Why This Bootleg Exists / Source: comingsoon.net)
"UPDATE: Kahn tweeted Tuesday afternoon, instructing fans to watch the film while they can. It proved to be prophetic as a legal battle is now brewing over POWER/RANGER, the filmmaker reports via Deadline. Kahn says he is being “harassed” by the man who owns the rights to the Power Rangers franchise, Haim Saban, who is also producing a new Rangers film with Lionsgate. As of this update, Kahn’s video was taken down from Vimeo, following alleged complaints from Saban, but remains live on You Tube, where it has received more than 3.5 million views." (Reported Yahoo!)
