No.5 in TOYSREVIL's #TopTenFilms2015: The Martian
I had been consistently resistant to outer space-themed films that have had waterfall accolades - from Nolan's "Interstellar", to CuarĂ³n's "Gravity", and I have always (perhaps "foolishly") chosen to forgo watching them, and frankly have not watched them at all … and "The Martian" would have been prime example of an easy pass-over on my turbulent "watch-list", but for one factor: "Ridley Scott" (I am partial to directors I like, sometimes :p) - and all is forgiven for "Prometheus" … *cough*
I raved about it in my film review, and I am utterly glad I chose to watch it finally! And as well in "celebration" of conquering my "bias-ness" - "The Martian" is listed No.5 in TOYSREVIL's #TopTenFilms2015, and I leave you with this "brutally honest" poster (seen on theshiznit.co.uk / bywayof laughingsquid.com).
Why is was nominated in "Best Picture (Musical or Comedy)" in the recent 2016 Golden Globe Awards, and 'won', is beyond me! (although it was obvious the film was given a chance to win besides "The Revenant", innit?). Heh.
Cheers
