And while I’ve not had the pleasure of playing with “Tomb Raider” video games, I’ve watched the Angelina Jolie movies - like most everyone else - and enjoyed it for what it was, an “action heroine” show, which lasted one film with “Lara Croft’s” short-shorts LOL
And while we’ve seen various incarnations of said short-shorts - courtesy of cosplayers around the world since the films, Angelina's lips still remains vivid in (at least MY) memories (*NOT the short-shorts, true story brush).
So when actress Alicia Vikander was announced to be playing “Lara Croft” in a new film franchise reboot (there is no two ways of explaining these things these days, so save the efforts), first thing that came to mind? *PLEASE NO SHORT-SHORTS*
And thankfully from these on-set images revealed by dailymail.co.uk, there are no shorts in sight! Matching the video game’s 2013 reboot (See up top).
Not that Ms Vikander would not look good in short-shorts, but … think of all the nasty scrapes she’ll get, climbing all over, innit? Of course I didn’t really think that back in 2001+2003 … but I blame all that “sense of reality” on the film industry, innit? I watch the films to escape reality innit? Not to watch a mirror! LOL
Here are some more snaps of Swedish actress Alicia Vikander (“Ex Machina”, “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.”, “The Danish Girl”, “Jason Bourne”) on set (more on dailymail.co.uk) - who no doubts makes the role of the ‘tomb raider” her own, than attempt to fill the shoes of Ms Jolie, IMHO - and THAT is what I am looking forward to!
