Tim Burton's DUMBO - Teaser Trailer & Poster

PRESS: "From Disney and visionary director Tim Burton, the all-new grand live-action adventure “Dumbo” expands on the beloved classic story where differences are celebrated, family is cherished and dreams take flight. Circus owner Max Medici (Danny DeVito) enlists former star Holt Farrier (Colin Farrell) and his children Milly (Nico Parker) and Joe (Finley Hobbins) to care for a newborn elephant whose oversized ears make him a laughingstock in an already struggling circus.

But when they discover that Dumbo can fly, the circus makes an incredible comeback, attracting persuasive entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere (Michael Keaton), who recruits the peculiar pachyderm for his newest, larger-than-life entertainment venture, Dreamland.

Dumbo soars to new heights alongside a charming and spectacular aerial artist, Colette Marchant (Eva Green), until Holt learns that beneath its shiny veneer, Dreamland is full of dark secrets."

Used to be a time whenever the name "Tim Burton" appeared, my attention will automatically erect be piqued, and eyes+ears wide opened, anticipating his films! Somewhere along the way, the feeling waned (I know from which film too, alas...), and I too have since come to accept that his filmic sensibilities have no doubt evolved through the years, to the current "Dumbo" you see here - which should not in any way diminish the notion of the film, I insist!

The teaser trailer seen here is nothing short of charming, but for a lingering notion of inevitable sadness that leaves me uncomfortable, somewhat. Or maybe this is simply no longer / not meant for my particular grouping of demographics, which is all fine and dandy, I have to say.

Cheers,
Andy.
