Top Ten Eleven "Alien" Toys on TOYSREVIL (Licensed & Bootlegged) for #AlienDay2019
This list begun as a "Top Ten Of", but as I whittled down the list, I realised I could not forgo all, and hence I present to you folks; The TOP ELEVEN ALIEN TOYS (on TOYSREVIL), in celebration of "Alien Day" on April 26th.
Disclaimer#1: Counting down to #1, most of the listed xenomoprhic-goodness were previously posted on the TOYSREVIL-blog through the years, and are based on my own personal preferences, thanks :)
Disclaimer#2: Featured here are licensed products, bootlegged releases, and "homage"-makes.
Cheers and have a fab read ahead!

#11: Where it all started ... Have you managed to score your own life-sized "ALIEN 'XENOMORPH' STORAGE EGG"? Revealed at the 2016 Taipei Toy Festival, the sized 53cm / 21" tall x 41cm / 16" width collectible is more "lifestyle object" than your typical "toy", but for the awesomeness that would cost only US$225 per (*Excluding Shipping, of course!). Manufactured under license by Noble Wealth HK and distributed by Unbox Industries ... no worries, nothing pops out from it when opened! :p
#10: Japan's Medicom Toys does ALIENS in their *VCD (*Vinyl Collectible Dolls) line, featuring the "super-deformed" designs of H8GRAPHiX & MOTOR KEN, with these 22cm tall interpretations of the ALIEN and WARRIOR ALIEN first released in 2008, and AGAIN in 2015, with a SRP of ¥8,800. I've always enjoyed these licensed releases (*how to resist those huggy/grabby arms? LOL), but never did manage to add them to my toy-hoard :p
#9: The ALIEN CHESTBUSTER build from ARVO Brothers from 2007 had been one of my personal faves from the lore, only having discovered and posted about it in 2012, along with the ALIEN (featured below), both of whom you can still view in full online: Chestbuster & Alien.
Super7 has released a number of colorway editions of their ALIEN ReAction figures, but the "best" (for me) is still the first ever released "early bird package" edition (released San Diego Comic Con 2013), for which individually blister-carded version were made available later, with the xenomorph the ONLY collectible I managed to score in my humble collection (*Purchased in Bangkok night market at an elevated price, no less LOL).
#8: BUT what is listed/featured here in this Top Ten instead is THIS colorway edition featuring the figures in WHITE suits. Released in 2014, these were under the banner of Super x Funko too ...
The "Alien" has most recently been unleashed in a blind box series (circa 2017), featuring a trio of colorway editions in Wave One, and another 4 in Wave 2!
#7: And while there had been fabulous interpretations of the xenomorph in Medicom Toy's KUBRICK product line, this Blister Japan-exclusive 400% ALIEN KUBRICK is the ultimate best I have seen (online) with my tender peepers! Released circa 2008, this 28cm tall collectible was priced at 10,290YEN then... and OMG it looked GLORIOUS!
#6: This licensed interpretation of the xenomorph saw Japan's Secret Base x Super7 producing a mini 4" 'Popy'-styled figure, coming in with a clear dome, moving arms and waist joint. Launched at San Diego Comic Con 2014, the figure has since been released in a variety of colorways, all of which have yet to join my humble collection! Although nothing beats the original "black" colorway, and the packaging box is one huge aspect of the toy-desire too!
#5: Besides your "traditional" iterations of toy collectibles closely resembling the original character, I personally enjoy "alternative" interpretations of the xenomorph - be it in Super-Deformed style or even Kubricks, but THIS iteration put a smile in my toy-loving heart!
WARRIOR FROM THE JADE GALAXY異形玉璽 by Tik Ka From The East featuring a quartet of figurines/statues - featuring Aliens and a Predator - in the form of a "imperial jade seal"! Produced by Unbox Industries, they were listed ti only 100 Editions, with a SRP of HK$1,980 / US$255 for a set of four included in this collection, featuring “Alien Queen”, “Alien Warrior”, “Predator” and “Alien Egg”.
#4: This massive 18-inches tall ALIENS WARRIOR (Classic Toy Edition) was a licensed collectible from Super7 launched in 2017, in a Matte Black color way. Priced at US$195.00 then, it is currently available here for US$175 still! Who doesn't like it BIG?
"The imagined successor to the 1979 Kenner Alien toy. Fully articulated, metallic snapping jaws (operated with a trigger on the back of the head like the original 1979 toy), and retro style packaging. The figure stands 18-inches and can also hang from its tail like the original 1979 Alien figure."FYI: A second colorway edition has since been launched - With the "Acid Green" Alien Supersized Warrior available here for US$175.
#3: This is one ALIEN-inspired figure that alas was not a "production piece" (Non-licensed nor official), as it was a one-off "homage" piece! Carlo Andrada Cacho AKA Wetworks (@iamwetworks) had worked on an illustration concept by Joey Spiotto, based on the cover of his “Alien Next Door” book, featuring your friendly neighbourhood Xenomorph and his cat Jonesy! Would've been awesome if this saw even a limited run tho, innit?
But the reality was that, another of his illustration WAS made into a production piece, courtesy of Loot Crate (circa October 2018).
#2: This is a recent addition to the ALIEN-Collectibles arena, with XENOMORPH from Weta Workshop featuring a decidedly stylised interpretation of the infamous xenomorph in the MINI EPIC angular-form aesthetics of Weta's mini figure line! Best thing is, you can currently pre-order it here still for US$29.99 per 6-inch tall vinyl figure, with estimated availability July/August.
#1: And the Top Alien Toy (in my personal books) is this macabrely-adorable mash-up of a Pikachu and a Xenomporh from Tooth Fairy Studio (Twitter @sazenlee)! Not least the topicality of the upcoming "POKÉMON Detective Pikachu" movie, but for the sheer awesomeness of the design, IMHO. Two brand new colorways of this unlicensed makes were released in 2018, and available to purchase via the China-based artist's taobao store! (All text in Chinese) ~ Happy Xenomporh-Pokemon Hunting, folks!
