SNYDER SCHOOL (Episode #1): Zack Snyder Breaks Down Army of the Dead's Epic Opening Titles

In 'Snyder School,' Zack Snyder takes viewers on a four episode journey into his groundbreaking creative process as a filmmaker. In Episode 1, Zack discusses his approach to creating a title sequence, from storyboard sketches to special effects, in Army of the Dead, as well as 300, Watchmen, and Justice League.

Very interesting and welcomed promotional journey Netflix has decided to share with folks, with the language and visuals tailor-made for filmmaking-students, IMHO. Seeing his analog drawn story-boards and visual references really helps solidify the need for "visual communication", in terms of sharing the director's vision across the production and filmmaking team.

The opening title sequence is also utilised as a story-telling mechanism which relinquishes the need for story-exposition, which sometimes do find itself within the film itself, although understandably so, as not all films have the budget to recreate a visual exposition LOL
