Official Trailer for WAR FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES has been unleashed!

The new official trailer for War for the Planet of the Apes (teased since yesterday) expands beyond the teaser trailer from December last year, where we were introduced to the “Colonel” character (played by Woody Harrelson), to a tale of vendetta between him and “Caesar” (played by Andy Serkis), bringing the “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” (who audio dialog was used here in the trailer) to the current 3rd arc of the prequel trilogy for the 1970s’ “Planet of the Apes” feature film franchise, and it looks glorious.

I cannot wait for that one day when I can sit down and devour all three films in a single marathon! … but yes, I am getting ahead of myself here … but this trilogy feels deserving of such legacy, IMHO.

Folks whine on about Hollywood "rehashing" concepts (*rightly so, in most cases LOL), but in this instance, THIS is how it is done!

"In War for the Planet of the Apes, the third chapter of the critically acclaimed blockbuster franchise, Caesar and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless Colonel. After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. As the journey finally brings them face to face, Caesar and the Colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both their species and the future of the planet."

Directed By Matt Reeves, “War for the Planet of the Apes” stars Andy Serkis, Woody Harrelson, Steve Zahn, Amiah Miller, Karin Konoval, Judy Greer and Terry Notary, and is slated for a premiere in U.S. theaters July 14, 2017, July 13th in Singapore.
