Official Trailer & Poster for "The Spy" (Premieres Sept 6 on Netflix)

"THE SPY", starring Sacha Baron Cohen, is inspired by the real-life story of former notorious Mossad agent, Eli Cohen, "who successfully goes undercover in Syria and ultimately changed the course of Israel’s history."

Written and directed by "Homeland" executive producer Gideon Raff and Max Perry, the series is a co-production between Canal+ and Netflix, with OCS airing the show in France, and Netflix streaming the show internationally outside France (Wiki).

What caught my interest in this upcoming six-episodes mini series on Netflix (premieres September 6th), was the name "Sacha Baron Cohen" - better known as "Ali G", "Borat", "Brüno" and "Admiral General Aladeen" (in 2012's "The Dictator"), who does a drastic about-change with this full-on dramatic role, with no snickering in sight, and that alone is intriguing.
