KPOP DEMON HUNTERS (Trailers & Poster)



SYNOPSIS: When K-pop superstars Rumi, Mira, and Zoey aren’t selling out stadiums, they’re using their secret identities as demon hunters to protect their fans from ever-present supernatural danger. Together, they must face their biggest threat — an irresistible rival boy band of demons in disguise.



From Netflix and Sony Pictures Animation (Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse), comes a fiercely fun and action-packed kpop odyssey featuring brand-new, original songs. Also featuring a new, original song performed by Jeongyeon, Jihyo, Chaeyoung of TWICE.



The trailer above features English dialog, with trailer below in Korean! The animation voices from Arden Cho, Ahn Hyo-seop, Ken Jeong, Lee Byung-hun, Daniel Dae Kim, May Hong, Ji-young Yoo, Kim Yunjin, Joel Kim Booster, Liza Koshy (on Netflix).



TWO memories popped into mind ... First: The tagline reminds me of what I coined back in the mid-2000s for a project I designed for MYTV Asia, with "Pop Stars by Day, Spies By Night" for "ROUGE" (Features on TOYSREVIL / Featured on andyhengart)...



Second Memory - which was more of a personal wish rather than activities I was immediately involved in - was that I wished folks had made the characters in faux-group "KD/A" into proper action figures! Ok, even if just PVC figurines, and not necessarily chili-versions LOL - Loving still their musictho...!

Only because I adored the music, much less than when I heavily into KPOP, to which "KPop Demon Hunters" is (loosely) themed, no? Only because they are not performing/singing in Korean language, but the aesthetics are very much so Korean, inclusive the period wear of the "demon boy band" :)

Loving what I see in the trailers, and yes, Rumi, Mira, and Zoey would make excellent action figures!
